About NAWHC

About Us

Advancing the use and success of worksite health centers and direct contracting for health care.

The National Association for Workplace Health Care (NAWHC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing employer-contracted and managed onsite clinics, near-site clinics, shared clinics, mobile health units, and virtual workplace health centers. We support the professionals who plan, build, and operate these centers — from employee health and wellness centers to occupational health clinics and employer-sponsored advanced primary care — across North America and beyond.

NAWHC is the only national organization representing both purchasers and providers of workplace health care. Our community includes employers, vendors, and healthcare leaders with a shared goal: improving employee outcomes, controlling costs, and expanding access through worksite health centers and employer direct primary care.

About Us

Our Objectives

Worksite health centers—whether onsite clinics, near-site clinics, employer-shared clinics, or virtual clinics—are employer-contracted and managed solutions designed to deliver convenient, high-quality care directly to employees. These centers support workforce well-being, reduce healthcare costs, and improve access to preventive services and chronic condition management. They may also include occupational health centers, employee health and wellness centers, and employer direct primary care models.
